Contemporary dancer and arts entrepreneur Paramita Saha curated a forum to present some extraordinary dance musings and movements in Kolkata. Titled At The Still Point, this crowd-funded platform showcased Rorschach Touch, choreographed by Diya Naidu from Bangalore and Say, what?by Avantika Bahl from Mumbai.

The performance reflected the perception in context of gendered bodies, but with the wish to go beyond gendered limitations. The latter focussed on the interaction between two people who slide between using and abandoning codified language. What's definitely the highpoint of Avantika's presentation is the work of a deaf and dumb artist Vishal Sarvaiya, who mesmerised the select audience. Spotted at the two-day event were art curator Nandita Pal choudhuri, interdisciplinary artist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee,

personalities Saurav Palodhi and Gulshanara Khatun, dancer Momm Ganguly and choreographer-dancer Sudarshan Chakrabarty, social activist Urmi Gupta, vocalist Madhuwanti Basu and model Tina Mukherjee.
“This two-day showcasing was an eye-opener to the fact that these 20 something dancers are doing much more out-of-the-box stuff than we can imagine,” said Sujoy Prasad.
