Members of city-based theatre group Lok unveiled their newest production, The Stone Age, recently. The play, a musical, revolves around five Indian friends who live in New York City. In a bid to encourage the team, actor Arjun Chakrabarty dropped in at one of their rehearsals. Says director
Aditya Sengupta, “We have been practising for over two months now. Though I have directed plays earlier, this is my first original script.
The production involves plenty of stunts and difficult moves which the team is performing brilliantly. I’m sure we will rock the show.” The 40-member troupe includes Abhijit Bhattacharya, Soumyajit Majumdar, Meghdut RoyChowdhury, Najrin Islam and
Kheya Chattopadhyay among others and will be staged next week. An excited Arjun added, “I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant. I know the hard work they are all putting in. Can’t wait for the show.”
