It was a double bonanza for music lovers on Thursday evening at a city auditorium. First, city band Five Little Indians belted out their originals, which the crowd majorly appreciated and next it was French rock band, Kwaks turn to keep the crowd on its toes. As a power cut halted Neel Adhikari & companys show for a few minutes, many in the crowd screamed, Buddhababu please resign. Requests poured in from the audiences side for Neel to play the acoustic guitar meanwhile, to which he said, For this, I need to see the guitar myself. After their show, Neel introduced Kwak by saying, I dont understand French, but their vibes will get you.
Kwak is a very cool band. And boy, truly cool they were! Soon after taking to the stage, vocalist Damien said, We dont like people sitting when we perform. Put on your dancing shoes. The crowd did just that. After the show, the boys said how they are dying to taste mustard fish as Bengali cuisine is much spoken about. Pubali Chaudhuri, scriptwriter of Rock On!!, who was present at the do, said, I unwind by listening to music. I have a lot of musician friends in Kolkata. At present I am writing a script for Abhishek Kapoors next project, which is based on Chetan Bhagats novel. I would love to pen the script for a Bengali film too in the near future.
