Film on food fantasy hits the big screen

Director Soukarya Ghosal’s latest release, Rainbow Jelly, had its premiere at a city multiplex on Friday. The event was attended by several well-known faces from Tollywood, apart from the cast and crew of the film.

The story of the film revolves around Ghoton (Mahabrata Basu), a 12-year-old autistic orphan, who lives with his cruel maternal uncle Gondaria. Into this nightmarish existence of little Ghoton enters Poripishi (Sreelekha Mitra), a fairy who holds a magical recipe that could well solve all of his problems.

“The film is about hope and about a boy winning over evil. Those who see the film will feel that if Ghoton can fight an impossible battle, they too can,” said Soukarya.
