Subhen Chatterjee

’s south Kolkata residence for an enjoyable musical evening, The

Old House Jam

2.0, recently. The show, aimed at promoting and propagating the independent original music scene in the city, was organised by drummer Sambit Chatterjee, Subhen’s son, along with his friends Sayar, Rohan, Yudhajit and Abhishek.
“We have been thinking about the dying live original music scene in our city and thus came up with the idea of this event. This is in its second year and the show takes place from the donations of a few friends as well as from the audience. People come here and listen to musicians who are up and coming and also support the idea of paying for music. We have a donation box, where one can contribute as much as they can. Compared to last year, this year’s turnout was better and we hope to come back next year in a bigger way and with a lot more talented musicians,” said Sambit.
The event saw performances by four bands — Agneesh Dutta trio, Kept Smiling ft Durjoy, The Buddha Therapy and Whale In The Pond. Band members of

Lakkhichhara Gabu

and John Paul also performed at the event. They rendered some of the greatest hits of Moheener Ghoraguli.
