Celebs bond over films & more at KIFF

The 25th

Kolkata International Film Festival

is at its peak, with filmmakers, jury members and movie buffs running from one auditorium to the other. But most of them got a chance to unwind a bit at a gala dinner on Wednesday evening on the courtyard of a boutique hotel. And we spotted KIFF committee chairman Raj Chakraborty going all out to make the delegates comfortable.
Iranian director Amir Athar Soheili, who’s Women Who Run with the Wolves was screened at the festival, was spotted chatting with Turkish filmmaker Mehmet Bahadir Er. “Till late in the night, I kept calling up my friends and family members to express my excitement. So many people came to watch my film. It’s amazing,” said an elated Amir.

The party continued late into the night, with the Tollywood gang joining in. Parambrata Chatterjee came with his girlfriend Ike Schouten after watching three films back-to-back. “I would recommend Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You. It’s a really remarkable film,” Ike said.
From serious discussions on films, politics to light banter, the adda sessions were never-ending. The icing on the cake, of course, was the scrumptious dinner spread, which every guest enjoyed to the fullest.
