Boys rocked at the Army Institute

Time to break the ice Excitement was palpable at Army Institute of Management as the Clean & Clear Calcutta Times Fresh Face 2011 kicked off to a roaring start on Saturday.
With pulsating music, DJ Rinky had the mood set as emcee Sidhu took to the stage. The event turned out to be a great time to bond between seniors and juniors as requests to do things like salsa on stage came pouring in from the back rows of the auditorum.The girls, obviously, had reasons to put their best foot forward when they learnt that the two of them who go on to win this contest will get a chance to become the face of Clean & Clear.
“Facebook, Facebook,” the crowd screamed as Raj Kumar got up on stage and it turned out that the guy is known by that name on campus. “I have to sleep sometimes, otherwise I am always logged in. I even carry my laptop to the washroom,” was his honest confession. When emcee Sidhu asked one of the participants what he felt about girls in the city, “mishti” came the answer. While Chetan performed some amazing salsa steps on stage, Murali chose to sing a self-composed song as he strummed the guitar. It was a fun moment when Pratik was made to dance to “Sheila ki jawani”. A fresher brought the house down when he shook a leg to “Jab main chhota bachha tha”.
The talented Kasturi De got a huge round of applause after she sang “Ja re ude ja re panchi” in the talent round and emerged the first runner-up. Priyanka Thakur impressed all with her thumkas, which is why she was adjudged the second runner-up. However, the clear winner among the girls was Prerna Tyagi. Be it her dance moves that enthralled all or the impromptu ramp walking, Prerna was confident about pulling off everything that came her way.
Not to be left behind, the guys did a good job too, with Chetan Sharma emerging the winner, while Raja Khursheed was adjudged the first runner-up and Rajkumar Choubey the second runner-up by the judge, fashion designer Abhishek Dutta.
