Biggies celebrate World Environment Week in Kolkata

World Environment Week was recently celebrated with a concert titled Green Earth —Shyamol Shukher Dhora, in the presence of eminent personalities like Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Lopamudra Mitra, Rupankar Bagchi, Barun Chanda and others. Focusing on global warming and climate change, the event was based on the works of Rabindranath Tagore, who has the greatest volume of work on this subject. Narration and recitals by Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Barun Chanda and Bratati Bandyopadhyay were brilliant, while Rupankar Bagchi, Lopamudra Mitra and Sounak Chattopadhyay rendered some mesmerizing songs at the event.The show was a concoction of music, dance and theatre in the original Santiniketan style.
