Stylish women, sharply dressed men... but no one could match the tashan of the space suit clad band at The Basement, Hotel Samilton, on a recent Thursday night
We’re talking about Ganesh Talkies, of course. The band members were seen in silver space suits and quirky headgear — the night was aptly named Spaced Out.
As Ganesh Talkies occupied their space on the stage, we couldn’t help but notice this lady in black on the dance floor — Mehula — who was mouthing the lyrics with élan and dancing up a storm to the beats of well-known numbers such as Shaktiman and Disco.
TOI also spotted Shaket Banerjee, Tolly director Sudeshna Roy’s son, grooving with his friends Neil, Aparna and Trina. When we asked him about a future in Tollywood and who he looks up to, he couldn’t stop praising Aparna Sen. He’s assisting the veteran filmmaker in her next directorial venture, Goynar Baksho. We also spotted Siddharth, with his better half, Amrita, relaxing in a corner, quite engrossed in themselves.
Later on it was DJ Tishya’s turn to take over the console. She played recent hits like Party on my mind and Disco diwane.
