Band Fakira performed at The Basement, Hotel Samilton, recently.
They sang popular folk numbers including Lalan Fakir and Radha Raman’s songs. The rustic feel of the music and modern ambience made for a very stimulating evening.
Revellers thoroughly enjoyed listening to Pal tule de, Somoy gache dure hariye, Chander gaye chand and more. The band also belted Bangla qawwalis, which set the mood for the evening.
DJs Hardik and Tishya played Bebop soon after the performance and the dancehappy crowd grooved non-stop as guests celebrated an early start to the weekend.
