Guess who inspired director Feroz Abbas Khan to make his film Gandhi, my father? The answer is Chandulal Bhagubhai Dalal, the author of the book Harilal Gandhi: A Life. And now there’s some more good news for all avid readers.
The book is now available in English. Recently a book reading session of Harilal Gandhi: A Life, was hosted at a Kolkata’s leading bookstore where the excerpts were read out from the book by Feroz Abbas Khan, Dhruv Mukherjee and Dolly Basu.

While the translator, Tridip Suhrud himself provided some narratives which complimented the reading. Among those present that evening were Mahasweta Devi. Addressing the book reading session Mahesweta Devi said, The book which delves into the father son relationship is a rewarding and satisfying journey. I think the younger generation should read this book as it has a lesson to teach.
