The bass rumbled high and the screaming guitar solos hit the roof at Someplace Else, The Park, as Aussie pop-folk princess Aurora Jane performed tracks from her latest album, “Deep End”, last Saturday. The fieryhaired songstress has often been described as the secret love-child of Jimi Hendrix and Ani Di Franco, thanks to her song-styling, which is very “rock and roots, focussed at the moment”, as she said. Among those who attended, Chanelle was seen having a good time with friend Arjun. “I love the way AJ (Aurora Jane) writes her lyrics”, she said. Seemed like the Saturday night fever, that had gripped the party people, refused to end.
