Anniversary celebrations in Kolkata

It���s raining artists at Someplace Else, The Park, this season. The reason being the 15th anniversary celebrations of the nightclub.
When on a recent Saturday night, Indian Ocean performed live, the venue, as expected, was chock-a-block. The crowd knew each and every song by heart and sang along with the band. So if Arre ruk ja re bande had the crowd screaming their lungs out, Jhini re and Hille re were also danced to and enjoyed to the fullest.In between the songs, Rahul Ram, the lead vocalist, also interacted with the Kolkata crowd.
He asked if their albums were readily available in the city. The band members also spoke about their forthcoming tours to Russia and the US.
Providing some innovation in the concert, Asheem Chakravarty, tapped on the bass guitar, making it seem like the tabla. Doing a jugalbandi with him was Amit Kilam. The crowd couldn���t have asked for more.
