Director
Kaushik Ganguly’s Puja release,
Kishore Kumar Junior, premiered at a south Kolkata plex on last Friday evening. Actor-director
Churni Ganguly, who usually watches all her husband’s films before their release, arrived well in advance at the venue. “This is the first time I haven’t watched Kaushik’s film before the premiere,” she said, eagerly waiting for the screening to begin.
Among the film’s cast and crew who attended the event was Rwitobroto Mukherjee, young kid on the block. Sporting a black embroidered kurta and a beige dhoti, he stood out in the crowd looking every bit the Bangali babu.
Before the screening when Prosenjit Chatterjee, the lead actor of the film, was asked to say something about Kishore Kumar Junior, he smiled and said, “I don’t need to say much. Our film will talk for itself.”
