Srabani Sen
is gearing up to host the fifth annual show of her music academy on November 13 at a city auditorium. Under her guidance, her students will perform a show titled Gaaner Sure Amar Mukti.
Giving out more details about the programme, Srabani said, “This musical presentation would feature those Rabindrasangeet which have the word ‘gaan’ in them. It is about how music leads to God, freedom of soul and eternity. These songs have a divine spirit and will live on with us forever. Through our show, we aim to bring out the essence of these evergreen songs.”
On the other hand, a musical dance drama, Balmiki Pratibha, would be staged under the direction of noted dancer Alokananda Roy. Inmates of the Presidency Correctional Home would also take part in the dance recital. The musical drama traces the transformation of Ratnakar from a dreaded dacoit to a holy sage,

, creator of the Ramayana. Tagore song exponent Sumitra Mitra, Srikanta Acharya,
Indrani Sen and Alokananda Roy will grace the occasion.
