performed by playing insrumental dedicating to Hemanta Mukherjee. Soumitra Bannerjee also performed songs like Muchiya Jaoya Din Amay Je Pichu Dake and others. Other artistes like Goutam Mitra, Indranil Banerjee, Debasish Deb, Abhijeet Chatterjee, Shayamal Banerjee, Ruprekha Chatterjee, Rajasree Banerjee, Debmalya Chatterjee, Lajbanti Roy, Dr Tania Das, Chandrabali Rudra Dutta, Piyali Basu, Pilu Bhattachariya, Jayanta De and Dr Sreekumar Chatterjee also performed at the do by rendering some all-time hits of Hemanta Mukherjee. Dr Dilip Chardra, the secretary of the programme was present at the do. North Kolkata Cultural Organisation was formed in 2003. Singer Soumitra Banerjee who performed at the event has completed 45 years of his music carrier by singing only Hemanta Mukherjee songs. The show was hosted by Madhuchanda Tarafdar and Shampa Batabyal. And the concept and direction of the musical evening was given by Soumitra himself.
