It was an evening of dance, drama
and music as one of the city’s prominent
dance
troupes held their annual gala recently at a city theatre.
The theme for this year was ‘Dream & Dare: Stories of Faith, Strength, Challenges’. The highlight of the evening was a revisitation of the famous musical, Phantom of The Opera, where the characters are part of a broken dilapidated opera. They recollect their journey of memories, holding on to their moments of despair and jubilation. Other performances included Chawala, Durga and Friends, Sapphirescope
and
Aspiration
, among others.
“This annual gala and silverjubilee celebration was a compilation of everythingthat this dance group represents as leaders in dance education, communityoutreach and artistic entertainment in eastern India. We are glad that the media, artistes and patrons came together for this event,” said dancer and choreographer
