A gala musical show on Kishore Kumar's birth anniversary on August 4

Kolkata is all set to celebrate a grand musical event on Kishore Kumar's 90th birth anniversary on August 4 at Nazrul Manch, 5 pm onwards. This is the consecutive fifth year of the event and it has been conceived by Partha Saha, who is the man behind the event management company that hosts this gala show. It will feature some grand performances by Amit Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sumeet Kumar and others. The most interesting part of the musical would be the presence of the members from Kishore Kumar's family including veteran actress Leena Chandavarkar who is coming to Kolkata after 27 years. Kishore got married to Leena and they had a son Sumeet who is 30 years younger than Amit Kumar. Undoubtedly Kolkatans would witness a magical moment while all members from Kishore Kumar's family will come up on the stage together. Besides, special guests like Soumitra Chatterjee, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Chiranjit Chakraborty among others, would join the grand celebration and share their fond memories of the legendary artiste. Kishore Kumar was born onAugust 4, 1929 at Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) and grew up in a cultural scenario. Gradually, he developed his skills in acting and music and became a multifaceted genius on his own right.
