Kolkata to witness an exhibition of Rohitendra Chandra Deb's artworks

An upcoming exhibition named Dreamcatcher curated by Anahita Banerjee will showcase the artistic journey of Rohitendra Chandra Deb at The Red Bari.The exhibition will feature Rohitendra’s artworks that explore themes relevant to both contemporary and past times. Since starting his artistic practice in 2009, he has worked with a diverse range of mediums, including acrylics, oils, mixed media, ceramics, cyanotype, watercolors, oil pastels, gouache, graphite and ink. The exhibition aims to display a thematic series named Nature that explores nature and emphasises humanity’s connection to the environment. The Butterfly series exploring the essence of transformation will also be displayed alongside the Santiniketan series which pays homage to the Bengal Renaissance’s rich artistic tradition, music. The Musicians series on the other hand celebrates the interplay between visual art and music and more.
