Kolkata Knight Riders hosted the third edition of
Knights Unplugged 3.0 in the city, bringing together players, partners and fans for an engaging evening ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
Designed as an immersive fan engagement platform, the event blended entertainment, interaction and exclusive access, offering supporters a chance to connect closely with their favourite players in an intimate setting.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a tribute to former KKR all-rounder
Andre Russell, whose jersey was formally retired in recognition of his immense contribution to the franchise. The gesture drew an emotional response from fans, with Russell set to return this season as Power Coach.
The evening featured a curated line-up of activities, including a grand squad introduction, on-stage conversations with players and support staff, and high-energy entertainment performances. A special mentalist act by Naman Anand added an interactive and engaging dimension, involving players and energising the audience.
Another highlight was the unveiling of the VIDA VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition, adding to the excitement around the new season.
Key members of the squad and team leadership shared their thoughts ahead of the campaign. Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR, spoke about the strong energy within the group and the excitement of playing in front of passionate fans at Eden Gardens. Captain Ajinkya Rahane emphasised the team’s focus on fearless and positive cricket, while head coach Abhishek Nayar highlighted the value of experience within the squad and support staff, underlining the collective aim of taking the franchise to greater heights.
