Kolhapur streets illuminate with Navratri celebrations

The streets of Kolhapur turned into a big carnival on Sunday evening, the eighth day of Navratri as the procession of Ambai Bai moved across the city. Devotees in big numbers turned up to get a glimpse of the deity. The streets echoed with the sounds of “Amba Mata Ki Jai!’’ as the crowd immersed in the festive fervour, and celebrated Navratri. Intricate and beautiful rangolis enhanced the beauty of the streets and attractive light show illuminated the roads, added a charm to the festivity.
