Deccan
Odyssey, which gives a glimpse of India to
travellers
from across the globe, arrived in
Kolhapur
on Wednesday. 2019's last edition of Deccan Odyssey received a great response from tourists with more than 50 tourists from Europe and the USA witnessing the
beauty
of Kolhapur.
Every year many domestic and international travellers visit Kolhapur in large numbers through Deccan Odyssey. On their arrival in the morning at Kolhapur railway station, the travellers were welcomed in a traditional style. Later they were taken on a tour to famous places. The tourists were impressed after seeing Ambabai Temple and Bhavani Mandap. They were raving about the sculptures and the intricate designing.
Later they witnessed traditional games, especially played by the men, such as
Lathi
Kathi (Staff spinning), Sword fight, and war tactics. The tourists were also taken to Museum in Townhall garden and the New Palace.
