When art rises for humanity

, help has been pouring in for the State from all quarters, and relief activities are still on. To chip in with its bit, the

Kochi Biennale Foundation

has organised an exhibition titled

Art Rises for Kerala

in the city, to help contribute to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

It showcases some of the best artworks from renowned artists from India and abroad, and showcased an array of contemporary works. On January 18, these works will be up for auction, in collaboration with a leading auction house from Mumbai. The works of artists featured in the auction include veterans from Indian art such as Amrita Sher-Gil, and also contemporary ones like Anish Kapoor, A Ramachandran, Anju and Atul Dodiya, Gulam Mohammed Sheikh and Dayanita Singh, besides many others. International artists such as Francesco Clemente and Robert Montgomery will also be part of this initiative.
