Vayalar Nawathy Award ceremony held

An event was organised to commemorate legendary poet and lyricist Vayalar Ramavarma by Vayalar Ramavarama Samskarika Vedhi at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan in the capital city recently. The event also honoured veteran poet Prabha Varma and kathakali artiste Kalamandalam Gopi with the Vayalar Navathi Award. Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran distributed the prestigious awards to the eminent personalities and honoured them. The evening was followed with a music show, Ganasandhya, which included popular songs penned by the maestro.
