Subhadraharanam kathakali at Changampuzha Park

Subhadraharanam

kathakali, which narrates the story of princess Subhadra's elopment and eventual marriage to Pandava prince Arjunan, was recently staged at Changampuzha Park.


Evoor Rajendran Pillai played the character of Balabhadrar, Kalamandalam Mayyanad Rajeevan was cast as Sreekrishnan; and RLV Anurag and RLV Jayashankar played the two brahmins of the story, in the performance. Kalamandalam Narayanan Embranthiri and Thrippunithura Arjun Raj sung for the show, which had Kalanilayam Udayan Namboothiri on chenda and Viju Attupuram on Maddalam.
