Seven new choreographic dances were staged by 21 young upcoming professional dancers at Vision 2020, a new cultural venture by Kalady-based Sree Sankara School of Dance at Changampuzha Park, Edappally.
Vision 2020 aims to identify and promote professional dancers. The programme commenced with Adi Sankaras famous work ‘Ganesha Pancharatnam’ and also performances based on Rajeev Alungal’s poem and Narayana Guru’s works ‘Kundalinippattu’, ‘Kali natakam’ and ‘Siva Prasad Panchakam’. Jessni Varghese visualised the famous bhajan ‘Radha Samedha Krishna’.
C P Unnikrishnan directed the programme, M S Unnikrishnan was music director, Sudha Peethambaran was on nattuvangam, Sreekumar Urakam gave vocal support, RLV Venu Kurumassery was on mrudangam, Edappally Anilkumar and Baburaj Perumabavoor were on violin and keyboard.
