Sports stars take home G V Raja Award

The prestigious sports awards in the name of G V Raja were given away recently in Thiruvananthapuram, and the ceremony at Jimmy George Indoor Stadium was a grand affair. The winners, belonging to various disciplines like athletics, volleyball and more, along with a few coaches, received the awards from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Athletes who took part in the Special Olympics were also felicitated at the event.The crowd missed runners Jinson Johnson and Neena V, who were busy with camps in Delhi. Alongside the other winners like Abigail Arogyanathan, Jincy Johnson, Muraleedharan S, Dr Mathews Jacob, S Manoj and a few students of Assumption College, Kerala State Sports Council Vice President Mercy Kuttan and E P Jayarajan were also present at the occasion.
