Sheela showcases her painting talent

keeps on mesmerising. After enchanting the audience with her characters over the years, the actress recently unveiled her painting talent, with an exhibition of her work at the Russian Culture Centre in Thiruvananthapuram.

From landscape to portraits of women, the paintings reflected the daily life in a rural area and celebrations of women that Sheela came across in her journeys. The actress says she had worked on the paintings during her leisure time. “Women are more beautiful than men and I also wanted my artworks to be colourful, so I painted them. These paintings were not created for the exhibition. I started to work with colours in order to enjoy my free time. I capture the scenes using a camera and then try to paint them using my interpretations and style,” Sheela says.

The three-day exhibition, organised by film producer Baby Mathew Somatheeram, turned out to be a crowd puller. Indrans, Kamal, Sibi Malayil, Vishnu George, Bhagyalekshmi, Shoba Gune, Ratheesh C Nair, Sarah Baby Mathew and many more dropped in to attend the expo.
