Artist Syam Balakrishnan, who hails from Vaduthala in Kochi, works as a designer in Dubai.
His spare time in the
Middle East was often dedicated to colours and strokes, which came alive on canvas. And some of them would even trigger memories of home in any non-resident Keralite. Colourful birds, landscapes that remind one of Munnar, majestic animals, butterfly colonies and more are featured in his works, which are in the medium of acrylic and oil colour.
The show, on display at Durbar Hall Art Gallery was inaugurated by Hibi Eden M P on June 22 and it will be on till June 27.
