KP Udayabhanu

, who had rendered several memorable Mollywood melodies, an event titled Kananachaya 2019 was held in capital city recently.

During the event held at VJT Hall in Palayam, playback singer

G Venugopal

was honoured with the Sangeethaprathibha Puraskaram. The award, instituted by KP Udayabhanu Foundation, was presented to G Venugopal by Legislative Assembly speaker P Sreeramakrishnan.

A music performance followed the award function. The concert titled Old Is Gold saw performances of singers Afsal, Kallara Gopan, Sreeram, Vidhu Prathap, Aravind Venugopal, Aparna Rajeev, Radhika Nair and others.
