Nishagandhi Festival enthrals dance lovers

The second day of the ongoing

Nishagandhi dance festival

in the city saw a Kuchipudi performance by renowned dancer

Vyjayanthi Kashi

and her daughter Pratheeksha Kashi. Students from their dance school brought alive the characters of Poothana and Krishna, and depicted the victory of the Lord over the demon, with finesse. It was an entertaining night for dance lovers, as the performances of Odissi dancer Manjushree Panda and Bharatanatyam artiste Sobha Madhu also kept the audience engrossed. Among those present at the event were artistes such as Methil Devika, Kalamandalam Vimala Menon and Girija Chandran.
