Krishnarppanam, a dance recital by Jannet James

The capital city recently witnessed a beautiful bharatanatyam recital by

Kalakshetra Jannet

James. The recital,

Krishnarppanam

saw the devotion and passion of the danseuse on the art form. Jannet began her dance with the traditional pushpanjali and moved to varnam, ‘Mohana Krishna Modita Manava’. The graceful performance was followed by a padam which included a piece choreographed from Swati Tirunnal composition and a Meera Bhajan. The classical performance concluded with a thillana. Supporting the dancer on stage were, Madhavi Chandran on Nattuvangam, Uduppi Srinath on vocal, G Babu on mridangam and Srikumar on violin.
