Khayal fest enthralls city folks with Hindustani music

The music enthusiasts in the capital city witnessed a two-day music event,

Mewati-Swati Khayal Fest

2019 and Madhuvanti Sandhya on October 5. The event organised by

Pandit Ramesh Narayan

's music school in association with Bharath Bhavan showcased a series of Hindustani classical music concerts. It featured musical pieces in Mewati- Swati Gharana. The melodious concert was held at YMCA Hall at Statue and Bharath Bhavan Semmangudi Smrithi at Thycaud respectively. The blissful music renditions by Ramesh Narayan,

, Madhuvanthi Narayan, Hema Narayan and other eminent artistes enthralled the audience. Apart from the music concert, the event also honoured renowned sitar maestro Ustad Rafique Khan with Surerguru Pandit Jasraj Puraskar, a national award.
