Environment day observed with 'haritha rally'

The World Environment Day was observed in the capital city with an array of events on Tuesday. The

Department of Environment and Climate Change

organised a

Haritha Rally

from Palayam Martyrs' Square to Kanakakunnu. The rally saw the participation of hundreds of youngsters and environment enthusiasts, who took out a march and cycle rally with placards and slogans which stressed on the need to conserve nature and greenery. The occasion also drove home the need to avoid plastics, the major threat to environment.
