Celebrating 1000 days in power through art

Urging the youth to embrace the cultural aspects of our State was the main motto of the recently held cultural extravaganza Samabhavana. Packed with folk and traditional art forms, the event saw close to 300 artistes perform at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The audience were delighted to watch an array of visually engrossing acts including shadow puppetry, chavittu natakam, koodiyattam, mappila ramayanam, vanjipattu, villu paattu, poorakkali, mohiniyattam, kathakali and plays.The art, theatre and music shows were adapted from the famous poems of poets such as Ezhuthachan to ONV Kurup.
The mega show that lasted for three hours was also held as part of the week-long festivities in connection with the State Government’s 1000 days in office.
