Cake mixing ceremony at Crowne Plaza, Kochi

Heralding the festive season that is just around the corner, Hotel

Crowne Plaza

in Kochi had its

cake mixing

ceremony, recently. It was attended by guests and staff, who enthusiastically participated in the mixing donning aprons, gloves and chef's hats.

Around 1,000 kilograms of fruits and nuts which included the finest white and black raisins from Afghanistan, 150 liters of red wine, more than 100 liters of honey and copious amount of spices were used during the mixing process which saw children and adults alike eagerly participating filling the air with the spirit of celebration and much gaiety.

The event began with the Executive chef

Kalesh Koithoruthil

addressing the crowd and explaining the process and the quality of ingredients used. The chef’s address was followed by a short note by

Shuvendu Banerjee

, General Manager and Bharathi Perumal, Director of Food & Beverage at the hotel.

The event was attended by many of the corporates from in and around Kochi, patrons of the hotel and the in-house guests. The event was also attended by actor Remya Panickar who also participated in the mixing along with the other guests.
