Benny Dayal, Thaikkudam Bridge and Thakara performed in Kochi

On November 24, Red Bull Music for the first time in Kerala presented Benny Dayal,

Thaikkudam Bridge

and

Thakara

to over 4000 fans gathered at Marine Drive Ground in the city, as the bands put on a spectacular four hour-long show.

Kicking off the proceedings was local band Thakara, whose fan following in the city showed up in thousands to support the band. Their songs, which talk of the system, politics and corruption, proved to be extremely popular with the audience, who sang along from start to finish.

Next up was the mammoth 15-piece rock band Thaikkudam Bridge, whose members come from around the country, but the band’s roots lie in Kochi. Their massive following ensured that every song was met with a huge response from crowd, who danced and sang along.

Closing proceedings for the night was headliner Benny Dayal, who played a 90-minute set consisting of some of the singer’s most popular Bollywood and indie songs. His prowess in the Bollywood music industry as well as in the independent music circuit has earned Benny Dayal fans across the country and the world, as was demonstrated in Kochi on Saturday evening. As Benny Dayal and his band played hit song after hit song – which included Bang Bang, Badtameez Dil and Let’s Nacho – the crowd roared along in unison, bringing the evening to a spectacular close.
