“Main pehle bhi yahan ek engineering college mein perform karne aa chuka hoon. Winters mein toh yahan aa kar perform karne ka ek alag hi mazaa hota hai. Main jab bhi winters mein Kanpur aata hoon, toh yahan ka malai makkhan zaroor khata hoon. Iss baar bhi main malai makkhan zaroor try karunga. I am happy that I have again got a chance to be associated with UP, as I am composing a song Chalo Kumbh for the state government for the Kumbh Mela. I am sure that this song will definitely be liked by music lovers and will motivate more and more people to attend Kumbh mela,” he added.
Shankar’s performance began with the song 'Haan Yehi Rasta Hai Tera' of 'Lakshya' movie followed by 'Breathless', which left the audience completely spellbound. The power-packed performance was further followed by his soulful songs like 'Dekho Inhein Yeh Hain Ose Ki Bundein' and 'Dilbaro'.
The musical night turned out to be a hit one as the audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance. High voltage music and good lighting arrangement on stage made the performance even more entertaining and impressive.
