Play Chakravyuh staged in Kanpur
Kanpurites had an entertaining time when they got an opportunity to watch the play Chakravyuh, recently. The play had actor Nitish Bharadwaj who essayed the key role of lord Krishna. The play, which was directed by Atul Satya Koushik showcased the thirteenth day of the great battle of Mahabharata during which Arjun’s son, Abhimanyu was killed. It thoughtfully questioned the relationship of Abhimanyu with his enemies.
Bhanu Pratap Rana as Duryodhan, Naveen Sahasi as Shakuni and Sahil Chhabra as Abhimanyu, in an impactful way performed their characters and succeeded in impressing the audiences. The drama gave some serious entertainment to the audiences and compelled them to stay glued to their seats for the duration of the play.
Dr Umesh Paliwal, one of the organisers, said, “This play has so many shades and layers. The appeal of this play is that it in a very impactful way showcases human relations. The packed auditorium was an indication of how city folk liked the play.”
We spotted Dr Pranav and Kirti Paliwal, Puja Puri, Monika Puri, Sanjeev Pathak and Bhawanibheek at the play.
