The 10 day Pink City Festival concluded with a soulful rendition of qawwali by Amir Naza from Jhunjhunu at Jawahar Kala Kendra. The mellifluous voice of the singer along with the melodious tunes of the accompanying artistes won the hearts of the audience.
They rendered Qawwalis like Pyar Kiye Ja, Pyar Ibadat Hai, Mere Bharat Jaisa Desh Nahi, Chidiya Jaal Mai Fas Gayi, among others.
After having performed for over four decades across various parts of the country, Amir Naza was overjoyed at performing in his own state, Rajasthan. He was accompanied by Iqbal Khan on banjo, Farid and Shyam on harmonium, Barkat on tabla as well as Saddam and Shadab on dholak.
The performance was followed by a question and answer round with the audience. During the evening, the visitors also enjoyed ‘Tamasha’ entitled Bandar ka Byah by Vasudev Bhatt. Colourful Puppet shows, magic shows, Behrupiya, Kathodi and Dangdi were also an attraction.
