Summer camp to hone musical skills of students concluded at RU

To hone skills of students in various musical streams,

Department, University of Rajasthan hosted a 10-days

summer camp

for the students.
Organised from June 17th to 27th, the camp gave an opportunity to learn

kathak

dance and

tabla

.

Under the direction of Kathak guru Taruna Jangid and tabla maestro Dr Ankit Pareek, 80 students in the age group of 10 to 75 honed their skills in dance and tabla. The students also gave a scintillating performance of kathak dance and tabla.

Students presented Krishna leela, Nrisingh leela, and mesmerised guests with their performances. Also present on the occasion were dean and head of the department Dr Madhu Bhatt Tailang, Dr Shashi Sankhla and Dr Akhil Shukla.
