Actor turned politician
Shatrughan Sinha
tickled the funny bones of Jaipur’s theatre buffs with his performance and comic timing on Saturday evening at Maharana Pratap Auditorium. Sinha featured in a two-hour long comedy play, Pati-Patni Aur Main, directed by Ramesh Talwar and written by Manohar Katdare. The play began with actor Sanjay Goradiagiving a brief about the show,followed by Sinha taking over the stage.While the role of protagonist Prakash Gupchup was played by
Rakesh Bedi and Madhvi Rai by Dimple Danda, Sinha played a matchmaker by helping them understand each other better. This led to several hilarious situations throughout the play.

Apart from addressing some simple issues of life, Sinha took a dig at some of the popular political catchphrases. Addressing the audience, he said, “Mitron!” adding, “Nahi nahi, ‘saathiyon’ se hi kaam chala leta hun, ‘mitron’ par kisi aur ka copyright hai.” Spotted among the audience was former tourism minister Bina Kak, Narendra Singh,
