Rang Mastaaney to pay tribute to Nirbhaya with street play 'Ab Bas!' in Jaipur

On the second anniversary of the December 16 incident, the youth wing of theatre group Rang Mastaaney will be staging a play to pay tribute to Nirbhaya.
To be staged tomorrow evening at Statue Circle, the play, Ab Bas! will not only focus on sexual assault but would also talk about various measures adopted to tackle such situations. It will be followed by a candle march.
Abhishek Mudgal, who has directed the play, says, “We have been doing various plays on eve-teasing, sexual assault and atrocities on women. When this incident occurred in 2012, and on Nirbhaya’s first death anniversary, too, we hosted several street plays. This is again an effort to remind our citizens of the horrible incident and sensitize them to such heinous crimes against women. Around 50 artistes of our group will pay tribute to Nirbhaya.”
