Rajasthan girls inch closer to the coveted crown

Rajasthan auditions

for the fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019, co-powered by Sephora & Rajnigandha Pearls, was held at fbb/Big Bazaar store at Trinity Mall, Jaipur, on Sunday. It saw over 100 participants from various parts of the state, competing to make it to the top three spots. The three girls who qualified for Rajasthan and will now compete at the zonal finale are Suman Rao,

Divya Kasliwal

and Yogita Bihani.

The judges for the audition were Nikita Soni, fbb Colors Femina Miss India Rajasthan 2018, and fashion designer Puja Arya. Puja said, “I’m glad to see my city girls beaming with confidence. Even at this young age, they are crystal clear about their future and so focused about what they want to achieve in life. Also, they are very thoughtful about their country and fellow citizens.” Nikita, who was also the state winner from Rajasthan at fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018, said, “Last year, I was one of the contestants and this year, I am a judge in the same contest. It is a nostalgic moment for me and I can relate to the contestants’ emotions, thanks to the journey I have gone through. This is a great moment and I’m once again re-living the dream.”

At the end of the day, the winners were delighted to have made it to top three. Divya Kasliwal said, “It’s an amazing feeling and I can feel that this has brought me closer to my dream of winning the Miss India title. Though this is my third attempt, I’m pretty hopeful to make it big.”
Udaipur girl Suman Rao, also a CA aspirant, shared the same sentiments, “I was quite confident that I will make it to the top three. It’s been almost a year that I have been preparing for the auditions.” Twenty-three-year-old Yogita Bihani was one of the top three finalists from Rajasthan in 2018 but due to some other engagements, she had to quit midway. She says, “Due to some personal reasons, I had to quit last year after being selected in top three in Jaipur auditions. But now I’m back again, chasing my dream of becoming Miss India 2019.”

The three finalists will be trained and groomed by the experts in the industry and will get a chance to meet their mentor Neha Dhupia at the West Zonal crowning ceremony to be held at the Hyatt Regency, Pune, on April 14.
