Famous folk singer of Rajasthan,
Ila Arun, a graduate of University Maharani College, Jaipur sang, danced and relieved her old days as she attended the penultimate day of the college’s annual youth fest ‘Veethika 2019’. Ila was the chief guest at the fashion show competition organised as part of the fest. Students in their fancy and glamourous avatar sashayed the ramp while the audience hooted and cheered for them.
In the end, the singer came on the stage while her famous song Resham Ka Rumaal played in the background. Ila couldn’t resist dancing to the song along with the students. She even sang a few lines from the song.

For students, it was a double bonanza as they not only got a chance to witness the singer performing and dancing on the stage, Maharani College’s principal Alpana Kateja surprised everybody by joining Ila on the stage and grooving to the beats.

Earlier during the day, competitions like mono-acting, collage-making, IT quiz and poetry slam were organised. Students enthusiastically performed acts on topics like 'evil effects of technology', 'women issues' and more as part of the mono-acting competition. IIS University secured the first place. Young and talented poets brought forth their rich verse to in both Hindi & English languages. Maharani College bagged the first prize in the English poetry slam.

Students unleashed their creative skills by trying new things with different materials like recycled papers in 'collage making' competition. Participants exhibited their creativity and imagination through their beautiful presentations. Both first and second prizes were secured by the teams of the University of Rajasthan.
