Lakshyaraj Singh, the erstwhile prince of Mewar, reached Udaipur with his bride Nivritti Kumari Singh Deo on Thursday afternoon. The couple landed at the Dabok airport in a chartered flight. The crème de la crème including the top industrialists, educationists and other dignitaries welcomed the couple and garlanded them at the airport. So crowded was the airport that Lakshyaraj and his bride had a hard time negotiating their way through the crowd as everybody wanted to have a glimpse of the new member in the royal family.
The couple then went to a hotel in a grandly decorated vintage car. The newlyweds stayed at the hotel for a few hours till the grih-pravesh ceremony at the City Palace which was scheduled for the evening, after which they were allowed enter the palace.
