The visiting tourists and the people of Jaipur will get to witness a plethora of cultural activities being organized by the tourism department on the occasion of Rajasthan Day. The two-day event, beginning tomorrow, will have renowned classical musicians of the country performing in the city.
Other attractions will be a food and craft mela to allure shoppers and special puppet shows for children.

Singer Shubha Mudgal’s performance today at Central Park will act as the curtain raiser. Mudgal, who straddles a range of musical forms from khayal, thumri and dadra to even popular Indian pop music, will give a two-hour performance.
Music lovers of Jaipur will also get an opportunity to witness a performance by flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. One can also look forward to a Bharatanatyam performance by the French-born artiste, Devayani, today at Rangayan in Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK).
The department of tourism has also lined up a number of other events including tourism awareness programme for special children. There will be puppet shows at JKK. For foodies and the lovers of handicrafts, there is the Food and Craft Bazaar currently on at the Shilpgram at JKK. It will be open to public till March 30.
