Jaipur History Festival showcased cultural splendor of Rajasthan

The education wing of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust recently organized the annual Jaipur History Festival at City Palace. ‘Financial Literacy & Folk Arts’ was the theme for the four-day festival. Students from various schools from pan India participated in this festival. Padmanabh Singh, erstwhile Jaipur royal and chairman MSMS II Museum said that like the previous successful events of Jaipur History Festival, this year too, JHF is being organised with a new theme ‘Financial Literacy & Folk Arts’. The mega event aims to serve as a unique platform for students to explore financial literacy through the lens of popular folk tales and the fascinating stories they carry.

The event witnessed musical performance by students of Jaipuriya Vidyalya. Their soulful renditions of bhajans, created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. SV Public School matched the atmosphere's energy with melodious bhajans. The festival’s focus on financial literacy took center stage with Seedling School, Nirman Nagar’s high-energy hip-hop performance, featuring insightful lyrics that highlighted the importance of saving and avoiding debt. SRN International brought the theme to life with a theatrical adaptation of Munshi Premchand’s works.

The event also featured a diverse array of exhibits by schools, blending creativity with innovation. The Palace School showcased interactive games and handcrafted items like ‘gullaks’ and creative bookmarks, while Tagore International School presented insightful authored books on financial and administrative themes. DPS Jaipur engaged visitors with a Treasure Island Board Game and other imaginative activities, and Mahatma Gandhi International School highlighted financial literacy through a mind map and themed games. Interactive craft workshops, including tie-dye, block printing, and bookmark-making, were also conducted, keeping attendees engaged in hands-on artistic expression.
