Jaipur girl Aakriti Batra wins gold in badminton in Paris
Currently pursuing her MBA at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, Akriti feels an overwhelming sense of happiness and pride upon winning the gold medal in badminton. Shares Aakriti, "I feel elated as I secured two medals for my university. I am the only student from my college to win a gold medal in an individual sport among the top business schools." MBAT'S Organized , multi sport competition from 15 leading International Business schools of Europe. The MBAT is the largest gathering of MBA students in Europe which held in HEC Paris.
Graduated from Delhi University's St. Stephens College, Aakriti gives the credit of her victory to her mom who is also a national champion in badminton. She says, "My role model is undoubtedly my mother who is also a national badminton player and has represented India in International Masters tournament. I draw immense inspiration from my mom's strength, resilience, and unwavering support. Watching her navigate life with grace and determination has instilled in me the values of perseverance and hard work. So one can see her influence in all my achievements."
