Historical play Prithviraj Raso entertains Jaipur theater lovers

Tales of courageous warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan came alive on Jaipur stage when a play based on his life was staged. The historical play titled ‘Prithviraj Raso’ at Ravindra Manch on Wednesday evening entertained the theatre lovers.

The historical play, directed by Yuvraj Gupta, had many interesting stories being presented, including his love story with Samyukta, famous battles he fought, Chauhan as a ruler of Delhi and his struggles to save his empire.

The play depicted the life of Maharana Prithviraj Chauhan

Actor Satish Kumar played the role of king Prithviraj. The play has some other important characters too including Jaichand and the court poet

Chand Bardai

who accompanied the king in all his battles. Decked up in traditional costumes, all the actors brought the stories of Rajput warrior king alive on stage.
